Why this site exists

Documenting software engineering lessons, trade-offs, and practical insights in a personal technical log.

Architecture is about the important stuff. Whatever that is. — Ralph Johnson

As a software engineer, there’s a huge amount of work accomplished and shipped every single day (even before AI). Writing is how I keep those lessons and context from fading. While most of my notes remain private, this site is the public, polished end of that habit.

What to expect here:

  • Mostly software engineering: Practices, tooling, architecture, and the occasional strongly held opinion on weakly held conventions.
  • Occasionally something else: This is my personal website, after all.
  • No schedule: Posts appear only when there’s something genuinely worth keeping.

If any of that sounds useful, the RSS feed is the most reliable way to follow along.
